First week of College @ Taylor

i can't believe a week has already gone by! but at the same time, i can't believe it has only been a week here at Taylor, Indiana! it feels like i've been here for years!
to sum up my airplane trip to indiana...it was really tiring and stressful (to be honest) but a time to play and experience the becoming role of an "adult"...lol
my flight got delayed and when i finally got to canada, the weather there was really bad that i had to wait 3 hours for my luggages at the airport and wait for another 3 hours to get registered for a night at a hotel. i was excited about the free hotel night that i could have all to myself. but i don't think it was as fun as i pictured it to be. the weather was freezing at toronto waiting for the shuttle bus. i was glad i could be useful by helping some koreans translate but i arrived to my hotel room after spending 7 hrs at the airport! what was even more tiring was that i had to carry all my luggages alone to the hotel and back to the airport! the hotel didn't even give me any meals, so i had to walk to the nearby gas station to fill my stomach with junk food...it was really a great chance for me to experience life alone and be independent. my trip from toronto to indianapolis was so much smoother...

a friendly man who looked looked like Gandhi greeted me at the airport. i first thought he was the janitor at taylor. but later realized he was a teacher there...haha
i think he was the one who really made me feel at home and made me excited about Taylor! he made me picture taylor like morrison...and so far it has been like morrison. college version of morrison.
because i came two days earlier for the mk/ international orientation, i stayed with a family named the jessups (staff of taylor). one funny thing that happened was that Mr. jessup (who teaches sociology) and i went shopping one day and he bought like 5 asian/kimchee cup noodles for me. he was like "i don't want you to starve." (thinking that i never had american food before)the next morning, mrs. jessup asks me if ever had scambled eggs before. they were such friendly and thoughtful people, but it made me laugh. i enjoyed my time with them, and they made me feel comfortable about taylor and indiana!

my week at the orientation was a blast! the moment i met other mks, i felt like i knew them before...i felt too comfortable at taylor, it surprised me.
i start school tuesday. i'm a little nervous but i know i'm excited about the year as well.
